If you’ve ever wondered what it would look like to bottle up the sweetest spring day in Raleigh, sprinkle in personal touches, some serious heart, and a whole lot of joy… it would look exactly like Sarah and Adam’s wedding.
These two tied the knot on June 7, 2025, and every part of their celebration was a love letter to their story—from the scavenger hunt proposal (yes, really) to the intentional and emotional details woven throughout the day. Here’s a peek at the magic.
Sarah got ready at an Airbnb surrounded by her best girls, a calming playlist, and one very sentimental surprise—her mom’s original engagement ring, transformed into a necklace. She gifted it to her mother, Janet, that morning, and let’s just say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine).
Adam, meanwhile, was getting ready with his groomsmen, likely recapping their engagement scavenger hunt adventure, which included stops with friends and family all across Raleigh and ended with a Christmas proposal in front of the tree at the Martin Marietta Center. Iconic.

Set in the Rose Garden at JC Raulston Arboretum, their ceremony felt like a breath of fresh air—literally and emotionally. Spring pastels were everywhere, with soft blues anchoring the palette in such an effortlessly elegant way. Florals by Heritage (one of my favorite florists in the area) does it again!
Sarah’s sister-in-law officiated the ceremony, and they incorporated a beautiful ring warming ritual, where their wedding bands were passed from guest to guest to “warm” them with well wishes. It was one of those rare moments where time slowed down and the entire group felt truly present.

Then it was off to The Cannon Room, a modern downtown venue with big city vibes and the warmest energy. Sarah and Adam exchanged gifts before entering the party, and once the dance floor opened, it did not slow down.
Notably adorable guests included their 6-week-old niece Julia (tiny and perfect), and their wonderful moms, Janet and Barbara, who specifically asked for lots of family photos—and rightfully so! You could feel how proud they were of their kids all day.
Editorial meets emotion. Clean portraits and colorful candids. Tender moments with a pop of personality.
We shot a mix of posed family formals (with no time wasted), heartfelt in-between moments, and artsy, editorial-style couple portraits that gave “Timeless, but make it us.”

Sarah and Adam—thank you for letting me capture a day so full of purpose and personality. You’re the kind of couple that makes this job feel like a privilege. And as for the rest of Raleigh… I think it’s still glowing a little bit from your love.
xoxo,
Sarah
