Transcript: Hello, and welcome back! Today I am sharing my super easy blog-based content creation plan for wedding pros. So I’m going to pop up a graphic, right? Oh, right here, that is the content pyramid. This is my favorite way to produce tons of content and recycle content so you only have to write it once. And then you just multiply it on lots of different avenues.
So, at the base of the pyramid is your blog. This is a blog-based strategy, which means you are going to write your blog, you’re going to write it well, this is where the bulk of your time is gonna go into your blogging. Your blogging is gonna contain pictures of your event videos of your event, whatever content you have, it’s gonna go in your blog, this blog is going to be optimized with keywords that are going to help you rank in Google, and all that kind of stuff. All the blogging things, we can talk more about how to make a really solid blog in another video, but for now, the blog is your base and you’re going to load it up with images and keywords and great content.
The next phase of your content pyramid is going to be your social media profiles, so this is things like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, if you’re on that platform, and things like that. So, what you’re going to be doing is you’re going to be taking that blog, and you’re going to do what’s called micro-blogging. So, micro-blogging is what is very popular on social media platforms, where it’s not the full copy of a blog, but it might be just a paragraph of the main idea. You’re also going to be recycling the same images. So, we’re going to reduce, reuse, recycle, make it super easy for yourself. So, you can take the images, and then you’re going to micro-blog on these microblogging platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
From there, you’re going to move up to the next tier of the pyramid, which is Pinterest. And you are gonna be recycling all of the same content to Pinterest, so you’re gonna be pinning all of the images in your blog to Pinterest, linking it back to your blog. You’re gonna be pinning all of the social media posts that you made back to your social media and what this is going to do is it’s gonna help grow your social media platforms. When they’re clicking from Pinterest to your social media posts and then it’s also going to help boost your traffic to your website when they’re clicking from Pinterest back to your blog. What this is going to do is, it’s going to trigger Google to say, “Wow, this blog is important, let me put this content out to the world, let me prioritize it when people are searching for this thing. It’s loaded with good content and images, etc, etc.”
And that is one part of SEO, which SEO is very confusing. But blogging is honestly one of the easiest ways that you can boost your SEO. So you’ve got your blog, you’ve made your social media posts, you’ve pinned it on Pinterest.
The very top of your triangle is your email list. Now, some of you may or may not have an email list. I did not have an email list till I had been in business for probably eight to 10 years, it’s a lot. It’s not something everyone wants to do, it’s not anything you have to do. But if you’re interested in it, it can be profitable. Your email list is an audience that you control. So, on social media, you don’t own that audience. You don’t control what they see the algorithms, Zuckerberg, they get to control what people are seeing. And a lot of times you have to pay to get people to see what you want them to see. In an email list, you have already gotten people’s emails, and you have an audience that wants to hear what you have to say. They’ve signed up for your emails, they haven’t unsubscribed from you yet, they want to see your content. So it’s great to have an email list that you can send this content out to. So, in your email list, you can send that blog, you can micro-blog your blog, in the email, and then say if you want to read more, go to our blog, and is driving traffic to your blog. And now they’re on your website so they’re more likely to buy from you.
Another thing you can do if you’re focused on growing like an Instagram or a Facebook audience, you can micro-blog your social media posts to your email [list] and say, “Hey, go follow us on these social media platforms.”
But the most amazing thing is you’ve already written all of that content in your blog on the base of your pyramid. You’ve done it once, and now you’re just recycling it like you don’t have to think about it that hard. All you have to do is just take out little paragraphs and little ideas here and there, from something you’ve already put the work in the time into, and now you’ve multiplied it on social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, whatever. Send it out to your email list on Instagram, you can post it to your feed, then post it to your stories and then do an IGTV video if you want to. But you’ve already created all that content in your blog and it’s such an easy way to share content. It’s called a blogging-based strategy, I call it the content pyramid. This is not a new concept, a lot of people use this and it’s really quick and easy. If you are stuck on how do you create content and multiply it without doing tons of work on every single platform all the time, this is the way to do it. So, I hope this helps and we’ll see you next time.
