What you need to know about getting married at The Oxbow Estate – Clayton, NC’s newest wedding venue

The Oxbow Estate is Clayton, NC’s newest wedding venue that’s caused quite a stir! It’s one of the only venues in NC (and really the whole east coast) that nods to classic, English charm. Seriously, this place looks straight out of Downton Abbey!

What you need to know:
The Oxbow Estate is a private, 10 acre, gated estate located off highway 42 in Clayton, NC. Don’t let the major road fool you, it’s a winding drive to the estate gates and feels very private!


Once you get to the gates, take the gate to your right to get to the Oxbow. You need to follow the map because the roads on the grounds are not yet labeled and they do not all connect to the main building.

Oxbow features lodging options for up to 18 people if you’re considering a weekend buy out.

Weddings start at $10,000 for a weekday, $15,000 for a Friday or Saturday, and $30,000 for a weekend buyout.

As for your vendors, the Oxbow offers a full chef’s kitchen for your catering staff, super close parking for unloading, and a storage room for your vendors gear.

The Oxbow offers in-house planning or you can bring your own wedding planner. I personally know some of the planners in house at Oxbow and I can attest that they all ave years of experience planning and executing luxury weddings. You’ll be in great hands!
