When I say Allie and Chris’s wedding was peak Southern romance meets coastal elegance, I’m not exaggerating. Set against the stunning backdrop of Colleton River Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, this day was the perfect blend of timeless style, laid-back energy, and personal touches that had everyone — including me — tearing up behind the lens.
Let’s just say: if Southern Living and Coastal Bride had a baby, this would be it.
Allie and Chris leaned into a classic palette of blue and white hydrangeas, which gave the whole day that effortlessly chic, crisp summer vibe. The flowers popped beautifully against the soft Lowcountry scenery — ancient oaks dripping with Spanish moss, wide water views, and golden light for days.
The ceremony overlooked the water, with a soft breeze rolling in like it was scheduled for golden hour. Think: Charleston-style grace with just enough casual flair to keep it relaxed and real.

From the start, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding — it was a reunion of hearts from all over the world. Allie and Chris brought together friends and family from near and far, and the energy? Pure joy. Everyone came to celebrate, not just spectate.
And the best part? Their dog (VIP: Very Important Pup) joined the festivities — paws on the aisle, tail wagging like a pro. Dressed as a flower girl, she made her rounds like the socialite she was clearly born to be.

The reception was where things really kicked up a notch. A full live band brought the party energy, keeping the dance floor packed until the very last song. But the real mic-drop moment? A surprise performance by the couple’s friend, McGregor, a talented musician whose YouTube fame brought a little sparkle of “Wait… is this happening?!” to the night.

As a Carolinas wedding photographer and videographer, I get to see a lot of beautiful celebrations. But this one? It stuck with me. Allie and Chris’s wedding at Colleton River Club was a reminder that elegance doesn’t have to mean stiff or formal — it can look like a barefoot dance under twinkle lights, a dog at your feet, your best friend singing your love story, and hydrangeas blowing in the salty air.
It was Southern. It was coastal. It was them.
And I feel lucky as hell to have captured it all.
